The conveyor belt metal powder reduction furnace is a specialized thermal processing system used in the powder metallurgy industry for reducing metal oxides and other impurities into pure metal powders.  The most typical application is the reduction of iron powder. 🔧 Key Components and Features:

         Conveyor Belt

  • Using a stainless steel belt conveyor usually.
  • Stainless steel belt with SS316 or 1Cr18Ni9Ti materials.
  • Belt widths and load capacities are customizable.
  • The steel belt transmission system adopts a variable frequency drive with infinite speed regulation, which runs smoothly and has excellent protection performance.
  • Best speed 50-250mm/min, adjustable for process requirements.
  • The feeding and discharge of the furnace are roller sealed.

        Reduction Zones

  • High-temperature zone (typically 1050°C) where metal oxides are chemically reduced.
  • The reduction zone is made of a heat-resistant metal(SS310) furnace body.

        Temperature Control System

  • The furnace temperature control adopts an intelligent instrument with no overshoot P.I.D expert algorithm, which controls the heating power by triggering the high-power module through zero crossing or phase shifting.
  • The insulation material is a heat-resistant fiber blanket that can withstand a high temperature of 1250 degrees Celsius.

        Cooling Section

  • Controlled cooling using a water-jacketed type.
  • The cooling zone consists of slow cooling and water cooling sections.
  • The temperature control element controls the solenoid valve switch to automatically control the cooling water temperature.
  • When the water temperature exceeds the set value, the cooling water flow rate will be automatically increased to lower the water temperature.

        Atmosphere Control

  • Uses protective gases (e.g., nitrogen, hydrogen or dissociated ammonia ).
  • A gas flow meter that adjusts the protective atmosphere based on the product process.
  • Some models include atmosphere circulation or dew point control.

       Electrical Control Cabinet

  • PLC controller for furnace,the brands and models can be customized.
  • The electrical control cabinet is fully enclosed to prevent conductive dust from entering.
  • Equipped with a control cabinet heat exchanger or air conditioner to reduce the working environment of electrical components and provide control system reliability.
  • SCADA system designed for advanced monitoring, control, safety, and optimization of the reduction process.
  • HMI control panel can be provided with touch screen panel for easy operate monitoring and input.
