Conveyor belt steam treatment/Blackening furnace
The conveyor belt steam treatment furnace is a continuous-type thermal processing furnace that exposes sintered metal parts (e.g., iron or steel components) to superheated steam at elevated temperatures. This process creates a protective oxide layer on the surface, improving corrosion resistance, wear resistance, and sealing surface porosity.
🔧 Key Components and Features:
Conveyor Belt
- Using a mesh belt conveyor usually.
- Belt widths and load capacities are customizable.
- The mesh belt drive system uses a frequency converter for stepless speed regulation, and is equipped with a digital mesh belt speed measurement device, so that the speed of the mesh belt can be directly observed.
Steam Treatment Zones
- One preheating zone to remove the binder of the blackening parts,to the steam reaction temperature to avoid thermal shock.
- Three zones steam treatment/blackening, forming a dense black magnetite layer(Fe₃O₄), improve powder metallurgy parts corrosion and wear resistance.
Temperature Control System
- The steam treatment temperature is uniformly controlled at 650 degrees Celsius.
Cooling Section
- Controlled cooling using a water-jacketed type.
Atmosphere Control
- The atmosphere is H2O steam.
- Nitrogen application for purging.
